Am i over reacting to my daughter wearing a thong?

    I wouldn't be too worried about it. If she's wearing them just for sports then it's likely because of teasing from other girls, not in regards to boys noticing.

    She obviously feels more comfortable in regular underwear, otherwise she'd have more than 4 thongs. If I were you I would talk to her about it, and try and get a better understanding of why she wants to wear them.

    Remember, you raise your child, you can't do anything to prevent boys from noticing her, but you can bring her up to be sure of herself and not get all slutty.

    if she only has 4, that's totally fine.
    granny panties are also less comfortable when you're running around and into sports. thongs don't bunch up and start popping over the top of your waistband.

    i think in this case, it's actually a good idea for her to wear those.

    Many girls of that age wears thongs
    It's not a problem in school and it does not give your daughter a label so don't worry about it
    you should worry more about her sexual activity rather than her undergarments

    yes you are over reacting. its just a thong!! why would you want her to wear granny pants? she growing up and has the right to wear whatever underwear she likes. maybe they make her feel sexier or whatever. its her choice, even if she chose to wear no underwear at all its up to her.

    You're totally over reacting... my mum is strict and everything, but I think I got my first thong in 7th grade( granted it was just plain black, nothing sexual). Being 16 now, I still go for normal, nothing with too much lace- just a normal thong.
    As long as she isn't owning any with any cherries on the crotch, or "lick me" written on the front, I think you're good :)

    There are other undies besides thongs and granny ones. I personally love "boy cut" undies. I wouldn't freak out to much. She in high school now, just make sure she doesn't wear them all the time. Maybe you two can go undie shoppin and find something you both agree on

    As long as the thong is not peeking out of the waistband, I think it's fine. No one will know. On the other hand, if she has visible panty lines everyone will see and some will make negative comments about that.
