Any tips? I always rip out what I write because I don't like it. I want it to be for anything from my feelings to ideas and plans I have. I'm an 18 year girl btw. Thanks!
I used to have a great journal I wrote everything personal inside. And then i let my friend read it. =/ And we got into a fight and I burned it. But now we're friends again. Haha..=P

Buy a journal, write, and don't rip out what you write.

If you rip out what you write, then you clearly shouldn't be keeping a journal. Journals are designed to be used as a private venue to express your thoughts, opinion, etc. Meaning that it's not something that you are writing to sound interesting, entertaining or anything else.

Then if you USED to have a journal, why are you now ripping everything out? Just don't let others read it. I mean hell, I've read old diaries of mine (when I used to write in them) from when I was 13 and younger, and it was embarrassing to see what my thoughts were like back then. But still, only I was reading it, not my friends.

Think of a sandwich . what will you put in this Subway sandwich and what will it contain? a celerbation or a story of its origins? the cheese is from a farm which makes cow milk every morning, the lettuce is from the earth which is 6 billion years old, the bread is from the wheat which grows accross this beautiful planet.

I used to rip mine out too, because I was too afraid someone would read it and I would be embarrassed. But just write whatever is on your mind at the time. Don't be judgmental about what you have written. Before you know it, you will have a working journal!
