I have super blue eyes and I really like to make them pop. Right now I use this bronzeish cream color for eyeshadow and I also use a Blackish brown mascara. My eyeshadow works really well but my mascara stinks but sorry I don't know what kind it is. I was just wondering what is the best mascara and eyeshadow i can use to make my eyes pop. I only want drugstore brands please because I will shop at Walmart for it. Also, I like wearing natural makeup so please no suggestions like bright blue eyeshadow or something. Thanks!

i love to use the covergirl lash blast in jet black and in brown. also check out the new maybelline eye studio quads in sunset seduction or gimmie gold, those are great for blue eyes. to get my blue eyes to pop i usually go with the browns, bronzes, golds, and champagnes. if i want some color i stick with pinks (warm pinks not the cool toned pinks) for eye pencils i use deep browns or bronze and usually the pop of jet black mascara helps the blue stand out crystal clear. use the brown mascara if you want to go natural or you're using a pink eyeshadow pallet.

  6. Definitely stick with a shimmery color. The shimmer will draw attention to your eyes, and make them look extra sparkley, without stealing the spotlight too much. Hilight your inner corners, to make eyes appear wider (which will make them look absolutely gorgeous!) by apply a white, shimmery eyeshadow on the inner part of your eye, near the tear duct. It'll feel weird putting eyeshadow there, but as long as you don't over do it, it looks really pretty. Try using a bronze eyeliner, if you usually stick with black, because this color contrasts the blue and makes eye pop. Smudge it along the outer corners of your eyes to amplify this effect. For mascara, I suggest using a black one, but don't apply too much. Try looking for one that says it 'defines' or 'separates' with will give your eyes a great contrast and give them that 'finished' look. Some colors that really compliment blue eyes are bronze, copper (my absolutely FAVORITE! Stand in the sunlight wearing copper eyeshadow, and your eyes will literally stop traffic!) most brown shades, gold, and navy blue. I wouldn't wear navy blue in the daytime, because it's a little dramatic, but if you find a way to make it work, go for it! Covergirl, Almay, and Physicians formula all have palettes with complimentary colors for your eye shade, that are relatively cheap and you can look at the colors to see what works for you. Below are some of my favorite products for blue eyes!

Liner- http://www.revlon.com/Revlon-Home/Products/Eyes/Eye-Liner/Revlon-Luxurious-Color-Eyeliner.aspx < In Suede Brown, you cant tell, but it's a dark brown that gives excellent definition, smokes our very easily and has lots of shimmer.
Shadow- http://www.physiciansformula.com/en-ca/productdetail/eyes/shadows/01154.html < Comes with LOTS of options, so you can switch up your look.
http://www.physiciansformula.com/en-ca/productdetail/eyes/shadows/03695.html < Very well pigmented, super shimmery, perfect everyday brown colors.
Mascara- http://www.rimmellondon.com/US/products/eyes/product.aspx?id=278 < Separates lashes well

Good luck finding your perfect colors, and you can always go to a Sears, or Macy's or makeup store and ask a professional if you're still confused!

To make any eye color pop, you want to use a complementary color on your eyelids. The complementary color for blue is orange, so gold and bronze tones work really well for blue eyes. You can also do this so it looks pretty natural as well. You could try a neutral shadow with a bronzey eye pencil on top (try Urban Decay or Make Up For Ever pencils) or do a subtle wash of a gold color on your lids.

I have bright blue eyes and here is what i use on a regular day:
MAC paint pot in Bare Study (sheer gold base)
MAC eyeshadow in Shroom (wash over my eye area) - frosty beige color
MAC eyeshadow in Woodwinked (use over lids only) - frosty gold color
MAC eyeshadow in Handwritten (crease) - matte brown color
Revlon Colorstay eye pencil in black/brown or MAC Technakohl in Photogravure (dark brown)
    Black/brown mascara

It looks great with my eye color and is very subtle and natural. You can also pair that with basically whatever kind of lip color you want. Bottom line is try some gold, bronze and muted brown colors. They look really nice with blue eyes.

  8. Maybelline Mascaras are the best. You really can't go wrong with any of them. The one with the pink tube and green lid (I spaced on the name, sorry) is the bestselling mascara in the USA, or it has been in the past. I used it for years before I switched to Clinique.

Almay has a bring out the blue compact that is good eyeshadow.

Covergirl eyeshadow is more shimmery if you like that.
