Ok so I heard that brushing wet hair is total bad for you.....Well I have been doing it all my Life and im 21.(no wonder why my hair is frizzy)

    1. Is it fine for me to comb rather than brush my hair while its wet or do I have to wait till my hair dries a bit.

REMEMber my hair is curly..so if I comb it dry I will get and afro.

I know exactly what you mean, in the shower you can comb it once you have your conditioner on. As soon as you get out of the shower put a towel on it for like 5-10 minutes as you get dressed. Then feel free to comb it....and it will not frizz as much. Also try garnier anti-frizz serum and gel after combing your hair and try to get satin pillow cases, it helps it not friz! Hope this helps :)

Its not good to brush your hair when its wet because it will break the hairs, and fine tooth combs will do the same. But you CAN use a wide tooth comb, it wont damage your hair:)

I heard that you use one of those wide toothed combs, like picks. i have always brushed my hair while wet and I think they just say that because your hair is easier to break, I don't think it makes your hair frizzy.

You can brush or comb your hair.
Just make sure you start at the ends, and work your way up.

Don't just drag it down your hair, dragging out all the knots.

    Work your way up. :)

Combing should be fine. It doesn't have so many bristles so it should make your hair frizzy.
Oh, and don't do it right after you get out of the shower. By the time your hair fully dries, it'll just be tangled again. So blow dry your hair until it's just damp, comb, and either blow dry it or just let it dry naturally.

you can brush your hair when it is wet, if,,,, you have conditioner in it. if the brush doesnt go through easy then don't do it, it is always better to put conditioner in. I have frizzy hair, it is just what i have to deal with. brush your hair with a fine comb. it is always better when wet. also, retro, it is a fabulous brand that works wonders on frizzy hair, it is called retro shine drops. it smells good too(: its a good investment.

You should use a detangler and use a wide tooth comb to comb your hair out when it is wet. Brushing it can REALLY damage it when its wet

I have been a cosmetologist for 7 years. You are right, it is not good to brush your hair when it is wet. That applies to all types of hair. It is just fine for you to comb your hair while it is wet. I suggest using a wide tooth comb, and if your hair easily tangles when you get out of the shower you should start from the ends and work your way up to prevent breakage. You don't have to take forever to comb it out but don't be too harsh. If you have any further questions my email is wesselc988@yahoo.com

  11. I have very wavy/fairly curly hair too. Just comb your hair wet, then put either a curl enhancing product, or hair serum in your hair (or both) scrunch, and use a diffuser to dry (if you're blowing it dry). Once it's dry, add some curls/waves with a straightening iron, which makes them look more natural, and you will be beeeaaautiful!

Use a detangling comb, it is a wide tooth comb that will not tear your hair and will help hair from getting matted. Add a little leave in conditioner towards the ends, and comb the hair gently, starting at the ends, and work your way up to the top. This is ok while the hair is wet.

Brushing hair in bad because your hair can break-which usually happens when its unhealthy. So if you keep your hair healthy and protected you can brush it-I do. You'll probably still have a little breakage, though.
If you do want to use comb, wide-tooth is probably best (depending on what works for you).
