I'm pretty sure this sounds silly, but oh well. I got my both of my ears pierced on the cartilage[second hole for each ear] December of 08. I took great care of it, but I'm positive one of the ears got infected because it bled every time i took it out,cleaned it and put it back in and my whole ear was often red. The lady who pierced my ears got her glove stuck in the hole when she pierced it[Does this make any sense, it was something like that and she got all nervous]. My ear is fine now and doesn't hurt at all, so I was just wondering if the infection can go away. I never went to a doctor or anything like that, I just kept cleaning my earring and twisting the earring.

as long as you clean them well, yeah, infections can go away

Yes it has, our body have self-defense mechanism which get's rid of foreign antigen (germs) which is why most illnesses we can recover from.

yes. infections heal if you treat them properly.
