Can hairspray give white flakes in your hair?

    i put hairspray on but dont wash it out that day i just brush it out could that be giving me flakes in my hair because i dont know if its dandruff?

    Yes. Hairspray DOES leave white flakes in your hair because when it hardens, and you try to brush through it, the hairspray breaks up into little white crust flakes. It's not dandruff. Talk to your trusted hair solon for god brands of hairsprays that don't leave AS many white flakes.

    Yes the hair spray has hardened and flaking out. At least brush your hair before bed to remove the spray

    Yeah, that's dandruff. Stop using hairspray, and start using some conditioner.

    Yes and it depends on the brand u use..the flakes are the hairspray that dried up.:)

    Yes, once the hairspray hardens it can and will flake! Maybe switch hairsprays or use a lighter application of it. Also, use a clarifying shampoo a couple times a week to get all the hairspray residue out.
