  2. Yes, Kaylee once wore lip gloss on a very hot day and her lips caught on fire. It did look sorta neat though...

If you use the really shiny thin stuff yes.
Use something thick, and slightly glossy.

Lip gloss dries out your skin and so does the sun so this increases your chance of getting chapped, sore or burnt lips. Use vaseline as it has a gloss to it but it moistens your lips aswell

Yes. This absolutely is the case -- and you know what? I no longer recall why. But there was an entire medical spot dedicated to this on the local news last summer. A young woman, a teenager, had gone to the beach and sunbathed, and used lip gloss on her lips, and her lips burned so badly they were swollen and she had to be hospitalized. I think the gloss amplifies the light when it strikes your lips, but I'm not sure of that. I am certain you should not use lip gloss when you will be exposed to direct sunlight for a prolonged period of time, or alternatively, you should search for a lip gloss with some kind of SPF factor -- OR you should apply a very high SPF sunblock on your lips before applying your lip gloss - and remember to reapply it! An SPF 15 must be reapplied every 15 minutes; an SPF 50 must be reapplied every hour, etc.

It may. Especially if you pile it on. You should try E.l.f. Super Shiny Lip Gloss. It comes in really pretty colors, is not expensive, and has SPF 15. You can buy it everywhere. Hope I helped (:
