Do short hair cuts make your face look thinner?

that particular cut seems like it might.A sleek cut is more slimming than one with lots of volume. I think it also depends on your face shape. But if you are worried about looking thinner also consider overall proportions. If you are curvy and you cut your hair short, it will make your body look bigger in proportion to your head, so you might avoid it if you have a small head. I know someone who is curvy and cut her hair short and now she looks like a pinhead. I have the opposite problem my head is big for my body so if I go to short I look like tweety bird.
Also think about maintanence, if you have a lot of natural curl or wave you'll need to spend some time with a straightening iron.
If you have an honest hairdresser you trust, he or she might be the best person to ask if its going to work for you. I know mine will tell me if she thinks somehtings a bad idea.Posted 2 years ago # -
Probably cuz it will frame your face nicely. I wouldnt recommend it to a round face though.

Shorter hair with layers would thin out your face, like the link you gave. But I would avoid a short haircut chin length or above with no layers to it, it will make your face appear rounder.
