Do you prefer a buzz cut or side swept hair on teenage guys?

It depends on your personality. If you are the kind of guy who listens to rock music, then I would say side swept hair. But, if you are the kind of guy who listens to rap, then a buzz cut. My friend listens to all kinds of music so this is what he does: He will let his hair grow out to a side swept length. Keep it like that for a couple of months. Then he will cut it into a buzz cut and keep it like that until it grows back out. It actually looks good, you should try it out! Hope this helps!

Side swept. Seems like you 'kind of' care about your apperance, more then just shaved off.

It depends on your face shape. If you have really angled, bold features (like Channing Tatum) then seriously, buzz cuts are sexy! But otherwise, side-swept.

They're both sexy.
Maybe side swept since you're a teenage boy.
Then BUZZ cut when you're a sexy man.Posted 2 years ago # -
If that is you in the small avatar photo, it appears that you have a mostly oval face shape with a bit of squareness in the jaw.....
"Oval: The oval face is the ideal shape. It is designated as the "egg" shape. It is wider at the forehead and tapers to a well rounded chin. This type of face looks equally becoming with hair worn low or high on the head; and likewise, either a center or side part or no part at all is becoming. depending somewhat on other facial characteristics."
L.S. Trusty, "The Art and Science of Barbering" pg 129.
...... so almost any regular barber shop style can be designed to fully suit. A good barber can design a side swept regular layer or taper cut or a short buzzed style, to be more specific, one of the short pomp(pompadour) styles-crew cut, ivy league(long crew cut), flat top crew cut- to fully suit almost any young guy's head shape, face and neck shape, frontal hairline and facial features. Particularly, a guy with an oval face shape. I like and wear both styles. Not really sure if my preference is constant, because I like to alternate between styles.

Some barbers describe an ivy league as a crew cut just long enough to be parted and combed to the side, if so desired. An ivy league can also be worn with the hair brushed up off the forehead to form the short pomp front, or with the short bangs brushed down on the forehead like a forward brush cut.

Essential barbering knowledge:

Grooming any of the short pomp(pompadour) styles- crew cut, ivy league, flat top crew cut- is basically the same and takes about a minute or two.
1) Towel dry hair.
2) Barely dip fingertips in jar of wax.
3)Transfer wax to palms.
4) Smooth palms over hair.
5)Brush hair off forehead to form short pomp front.
Whichever style you decide on, be sure to take a photo to help describe the desired haircut to the barber or stylist. If you need more photos of any of the styles discussed above, let me know.
