No, you didn't damage them, that can just happen with natural bristles. Skip the Pantene and try dish soap or baby shampoo next time. Blot the brushes carefully with a paper towel, shape the bristles the way you want and then lay them on the towel overnight to dry. They'll never look PERFECT again, but it's really no big deal. No damage done.

there is a makeup brush cleaner spray from essence of beauty and neutregena anti residue shampoo..both of these are good for cleaning or washing brushes and they r sold in drugstores..i got those brushes for free too and they are not that good quality :(
