my hair color is naturally dark brown, but i dyed it black about a month ago. i am not satisfied with it, so i dyed over it with a red dye. i did not know that i had to bleach over it, so it didnt do anything but dry out my hair. i have seen that putting baby oil on my hair and covering it with a shower cap, then the next morning washing it out with a clarifying shampoo. will this work? if not, then what will fade my black hair? i can't buy any products right now at all, but tell me if there are any basic household remedies (dish soap, alcohol, etc...)

i have naturally black hair, but when i moved to somewhere sunny, my black hair faded and turned into a dark brown, SUN fades black hair, and use shampoo and not color safe hair shampoo, so make sure you read the lable.
