My sister highlighted my dark brown hair with the Clairol nice'n easy hairlighting kit for light blonde to dark brown hair. Instead of blonde it turned orange and now im freaking out. Some of the roots didn't get dyed either. What should we do??? What will happen if we dye it brown??? Has this ever happened to anyone and what did you do. Hurry and give suggestions please!!!!

Calm down! Calm down! This happened to my mom.

It will be okay if you dye it brown. It's not the best option though! I suggest you go to a proffesional salon and have it redyed. If you can't do that, then I guess your going to have to dye it brown yourself.

You can dye it brown but I have done this before and some of the orange may still show through alittle. The best option I think would be to go to a beauty supply store and get a "strip kit". I have done this once before and gotten it from sallys.

haha lol im sorry i know this not funny. first thing to do is to calm lol dont panic. probably she left it for a long time or didnt fallow the right procedures. if you want to what you can do is to leave it like that for now, wash your hair and dry it, because if you look for any other chemicals could do bad 4 ur hair(too many chemicals at once)

if there is a 1-800 number on the directions they should tell you how to fix the hair color right away
Some temporary fixes for your hair color disaster:

Colored shampoos which can sometimes help soften the bad coloring.

Cut your hair short to minimize the effect of the bad color.

Try to accelerate color fading - hot water is known to fade chemically colored hair, some volume shampoos and gels may help fade color (they are designed to open the hair cuticle which speeds up color loss)
