I have used the mascara's, rimmel extra super lash, l'oreal double extention (This takes 10 years to take off!) and rimmel glam eyes, i also have an eyelash curler. BUT no matter with one of those i use or how i curl my eyelashes, they just go flat after 10 minutes, how can i make them curled without fake lashes? What is the best drugstore mascara, available in England?

    Thanks for answering mine :)

For me, a lot of it is in the technique. You may be using a perfectly decent mascara, but if you want your lashes to stand up you have to up in time and care.
I tilt the mirror so that I'm looking down on to it, and my lashes are more visible to me. I apply several coats, never waiting for one to completely dry before the next, presh up gently as I do this, wiggle the brush as I go up the lashes and make sure I get right to the ends of the lashes, to extend.
Another trick is, just as you're about to finish one eye, hold the brush against the lashes for a few seconds, pressing upwards gently as before, to help dictate the angle the lashes will dry.
I also wait until my lashes are completely dry before using curlers as close to the roots as possible.
    Hope this is helpful x

i used to use lash blast, the orange tube with drew barrymore on the commercial, that worked good. now i use that weird one with the really tiny brush, and it works but it takes forever to put on, cause of the tiny brush.

Be sure that you own a metal eyelash curler. Plastic one tend to break easily and don't curl your lashes. I bought a Revlon Dramatic Eyelash Curler and my lashes stayed curled for the whole day, from morning til night. Unless, I wash my face, that will make my lashes fall a bit. You can use mascara to seal in the curl. Try Cover Girl's LashBlast Volume Blasting Mascara, in the orange tube, it works great. It volumizes, lengthens, and gives a slight, natural curl. But if sealing the curl still doesn't work, you can try blow drying your eyelash curler and curl. I heard that's very effective. Make sure that you test it on your hand so you don't scorch your eyelids.

    Tips to apply mascara:

Start from the very base (the roots) of your lashes and twist the wand in a circular motion to minimize in clumps and maximize in volume. Near the middle of your lashes, go straight up, just applying a little bit of wiggling. You can do this a few times.

OMG this was a lot to type in like 3 minutes. (:

    G'luck, hope I helped you

EDIT: I hate L'Oreal's Double Extensions mascara, it sucks, takes forever to remove, clumps, and makes your lashes look so spidery! Eck!!!

i use l'oreal voluminous in carbon black. it helps me get really full looking lashes. however, i find that it smudges under my eyes even when i only put it on the top. that being said, i think it has more to do with me than with the actual mascara; my roommate uses it and she doesn't have the problem with smudging that i have. this is interesting to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8_ErymmvK8
