    All I have to say is - BE YOURSELF.

    If people don't like you for you then they are pathetic. Please don't go trying to be something you're not because it will not work. Who cares if people make fun of you for being smart. You're the one that is going to be a somebody someday! They may end up working at a fast food place the rest of their lives.

    And don't be afraid to join any clubs or groups/organizations that your school has even if they are considered ''nerdy'' what not those are the places where you will find people who have common interests as you!

    I'm currently a sophomore in high school and I love it! There are so many clubs and teams to join. It's really easy to make friends if you participate in any of them. If you have any questions, you can IM me (spoiledgrl881)

    i go to a public school with about that many kids in it too. i am also in 9th grade. I am considered "popular" but i know in every school people have different opinions. In my school for the girls at least we make average grades and the guys pretend like they dont care about school even though they probably do. Even though my friends and i and a lot of other people are like this it is definitely not considered bad to be smart. If you think about it it is great to do that well in school. If you take some clubs do sports and do community service you might end up going to a really good school like Yale, Brown or one of the ivys. So even with trying to make friends still keep up with doing well in school. If my friends knew that I wrote this they would be very surprised but since you have potential keep it up!
