How old do you have to be to get a tongue piercing without parental permission?

    I say go in the shop and say you are 18 even if your younger. They don't like to deny business. Believe me they want your money.

    18 and they DO check your ID!!! They make a photocopy of it..all shops are required to do this!!!

    I don't think any reputable shop will do it until you're an adult if you don't have permission. I have 10 piercings and every time I went they checked my ID so I don't think you can get away with lying about your age unless you have a fake ID. I have to tell you though that if you don't have permission just wait and please please don't let some random person stick a needle in your tongue. By the way I've had mine for four years and my teeth are perfect so don't listen to people who try to scare you with that. Just use acrylic balls on the ends.
