When I do with water all the brissels mess up and go all over the place

I don't have no brush cleaner left :(

I'm too scared to take the risk with just water because they are expensive mac ones

I also have expensive brushes and I have always used Baby Shampoo since I have that already in my house. One thing that I use are these brush guards.(link below) They were very inexpensive and I really think they are a great product for the cost.
After I wash my brushes, I smooth them on a dry towel and put them through the appropriate sized guard to shape them, then lay them flat to dry. It shapes them perfectly so that there aren't extra bristles all crazy after they dry. I am sure you could improvise with something in your house the same size, but I'm telling you, I am very happy with the ones I have!

  3. People use baby shampoo and it works for the brushes, or I know there is youtube videos on how to make your own brush cleaner.

Still, I would be scared to use anything other than brush cleanser for my mac brushes, so i think honestly you should wait until you can get more.

I sometimes skip the olive oil par, and just wash them with baby shampoo, I have had my mac brushes for years and ther are still in perfect condition.

Squirt a pinch of face cleanser into the palm of your hand & buff the brush into the cleanser. Next gently wash out with warm NOT hot water. Leave to dry naturally or dry with a hairdryer if your in a rush for needing makeup! Good luck (:

I made my own cleanser for weekly cleaning. But for quick cleanings, I use baby wipes. They work nicely if you only need to quickly get the color off, and quickly disinfect. But for more in-depth cleaning, I just use the cleanser I made. [which works nicely]

[1 cup water, 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol(91%), half a tablespoon of gentle shampoo, half a table spoon of dish soap]

    Hope I helped!

Clean it with your face wash. Shampoo has chemicals in it and if they are still lingering around in your brushes, it could make you break out. Wash gently and rinse well. Expect to lose bristles over your brush's life time. It wont go bald.
