Where do I start? Im interested in print modeling, not in runway. I do have a profile on exploretalent.com but it doesn't seem to help much. Thanks))
I know what its all about, ive seen America's Next Top Modela nd other shows like that, but im NOT looking to be a runway model... im 5'2 and 95 pounds. So im looking for print/commercial modeling which is targeted more towards 'regular customer". But where do i start??
And yes, i have been told that i should do modeling

Explore talent is a nice networking site, but it is not an agency. In order to model, you will have to find a modeling agency. Explore talent does have some agencies listed on their site page if you check for a big city near you. You can also google "modeling agency" + a big city to see what comes up. Read thru the websites. Make sure you know the difference between an agency and a "modeling school". Check out www.modelingscams.org & click on modeling schools so you can understand the difference.

Best "education" on how to get into modeling & the modeling world: www.newmodels.com. Educate yourself so you don't get scammed.

FYI - you don't need a portfolio in order to send photos to an agency. Any agency who wants you will know exactly what kinds of photos they want in order to promote you. Do NOT listen to anyone who says you need a portfolio in order to get started! I had nothing when my agency accepted me. When they signed me, they told me what types of photos they needed ("Commercial/lifestyle"), gave me a list of photographers in the area who did that type of photography, and I had to get photos taken for my comp card (model's business card which has photos on it). I didn't have to use any of the photographers on the list, I was free to go to any photographer I wanted as long as they knew how to do commercial photography. If an "agency" sends you to use their in-house photographer & don't give you the option to shop around for a different photographer, then it is a scam.

    Best of luck!

Look like one, dress like one, walk like one.

    Anyone can be a model!

People compliments me, and sometimes they asked me, if I've been practicing in front of the mirror.

I went to Charm & Poise school, when I was in HS in hopes to land a modeling job someday . . . and that's something I carried with me all my life. Can you say Grace Kelly & Jackie O? They've been known for their fashion savvy, poise, and people respect them for that, among other things.

Check out America's Next Model, so you can understand what goes on behind the modeling business. They own you top to bottom. Meaning, no if's, and's or but's. It's a very demanding career, and if you can handle stress and ready to give them 120% then you're IN.

There were 10,000 hopeful models for Victoria's Secret in Dec. fashion show also. Out of those, 5 were chosen as finalists, and only one was chosen as the winner. Check it out. It's not just a pretty face. It takes a certain walk, attitude, confidence & can stand the stress.

Get to a modeling agency, check the BBB if they're not just pulling your legs.
