Help! Please! And please only people who have used Splat. I had no idea how powerful this stuff was when I bought it. I mean, I'd heard that it bleeds quite a bit, but I figured I'd just use a towel to keep it off of surfaces other than my hair. Unfortunately, in the process of colouring my hair, I dropped the bottle of dye and it splattered everywhere - all over the floor, walls, etc. Even worse, when I rinsed the dye in the shower, the colour stayed on the walls and now my bathroom looks as though I murdered several smurfs. This is a major problem as my mum is now looking at murdering ME. I've tried bleach, ammonia and rubbing alcohol and nothing seems to be taking it off. There's still a faint blue hue EVERYWHERE. The only thing that seems to be KIND of working is those Mr. Clean eraser things and that's only if I scrub REALLY, REALLY hard. Any tips? I'm losin' it here!

Also, any tips to get this stuff off my face and hands will be welcome.

  3. Milk, cigarette ash and Oxy are all possible ideas that have been shown to be good at getting dye off of surfaces. As for the walls, I'm surprised anything is taking it off--those will probably need to be painted. Tiles are difficult to permanently stain because of the sealants that should be on them if being used in a bathroom, so keep up the hard work and if they're stained, that really sucks but so did the tiles. Rubbing alcohol has always worked best for me with most dyes; have you tried apply rubbing alcohol to a sponge with a rough surface and washing the tiles that way? The texture should help if the Mr. Clean erasers are getting it off best. It's main ingredient is ammonia which you've tried, so it looks like it's a matter of elbow grease and what you're rubbing with rather than the ingredients. Grab a rough sponge, soak areas with rubbing alcohol if you can get it to set overnight, and try again. I hope it works.

HAAAA HAAA HAAA oh my gosh! HAA HAAAA HAA! the murduring smurfs thing was FUNNY! other than that you're pretty much best off using the Mr clean magic erasers and (chuckle) washing your hands alot, you might also want to try baking soda OR viniger on your hands, i once drew all over my hands with a sharpie and the vinigar(styfled laugh) took it right off.

the bottle the dye came in might also offer(tee hee hee) some help, right up there with the poison info and stuff.
