    The videos that the girls posted earlier are fantastic for the contouring. Contouring can make a world of difference to your face, as for the smokey eyes...here are two of my favorite basic ones:

    lightly contour your face with makeup for a slimmer look. Also watch some videos on youtube.com. all the makeup gurus have great videos that will teach you.

    I have a round face too, but contouring helps a lot. To contour, take a bronzer and brush it right below your jawline. Then suck in your cheeks and brush it into the hollows. Apply a light color above the contour to highlight your cheekbones, and then if you want apply a blush on top.
    There are a lot of great videos on Youtube on how to contour your face.

    Contour your cheeks. Apply a lighter colored blush on the apples of your cheeks up towards your temple. Underneath that apply a darker colored blush (or bronzer, which ever you are using) along the ridge below your apples following the path up your temples and blend in. The darker shade belowadds definition to your cheeks and thus makes your face appear much more narrow. And it gives you that supermodel high cheekbone look :)
    And for a smokey eye, the trick is just to blend a medium and dark shade, medium on the lid, dark in the crease, and follow with a dark eyeliner that flows off the lash line just a bit to elongate the eye. Smudge the eyeliner to get a full effect for the smokey look.
    And you tube is a wonderful way to learn since words can only tell you so much without being able to see the process. Its so much easier to do than to describe :)
