i pierced my cartilage and its red and swollen...?

    how can i make the swelling go down its so big ice, sea salt soaks, help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I got mine pierced last week and it went crazily swollen, bright red and hard/lumpy. It kept weeping and scabbing over and stuff but it's getting better now. Apparently it's normal for it to swell, just not as badly as mine did. Try cleaning it with salt water and I found that antiseptic creams work well too.

    What did you pierce it with? Try hydrogen peroxide on cotton well soaked for a few days, you may have to remove the piercing. Cartilage is tricky sometimes to get infected.
