I'm naturally pale... and it's really hard for me to tan. I've always had blond hair and I've done strands of different color (like blue etc) but just pieces. I want to die my hair. I don't want crazy colors (like rainbows) but something brownish... Or something. I don't want it to look bad since I'm already so white so colors like black probably won't look that great on me! I want to cut my hair also. I want layers and it to be short. I have to have bangs, I look funny without them. What do you think I should do, I can link a picture if it would really help. I just want to have a different look.
heres some pictures.. plz no rude comments :X

I almost always wear my hair up its about mid back now and i hate it ( i use to have really long hair till i cut it) So i'm pretty plan with doing things with my hair so something simple would be great thats easy to throw together

if you are already blond and are looking to go darker, be sure that whatever color you pick, does not have any ash in it, or your hair could go green.

You should also try and use a filler before dying (filler is just the colorant bottle from hair color, ask cosmetician when purchasing).

I am very pale skinned myself and darker colors work very well with pale skin, as it adds a contrast. I have done black successfully, as well as red and brown.

A rich expresso brown might look nice on you, and maybe you could add some highlights.

I suggest you find a well recommended salon and explain the the stylist what you want, and get his or her opinion on what would look best, and if you like it, go for it. At good salons the stylists are trained to consider your face shape, hair type, and complexion and know what works best. Don't be afraid to inquire at multiple salons to see if you like the kind of work they do.

When it comes to a drastic change like this, especially when cut and color are involved, it's important to get it done right from the beginning and avoid and nightmares. Once you've got it how you like it, you can maintain at lesser cost if you like.
