I'm allergic to any type of metal piercing! They always get infected.. my nose was infected with metal; and i put a plastic one in and it healed right up! I'm going to get my tongue and lip pierced and the guy at the parlor does all my tattoos and piercings told me that they don't usually pierce body's with anything but metal but in my case he would put plastic in because everything i get pierced get's infected.... I was just wanting some input before i order the plastic rings..

You're probably allergic to crappy metal with nickel or copper in it. If you were to get surgical grade stainless steel, or better yet, surgical grade titanium, I bet your piercing would heal fine. It's more expensive but at least it will heal
Plastic, or acrylic, CANNOT be properly sterilized and the fact that your piercer said he was willing to use it for an initial piercing is scary to me.
If you want to avoid metal entirely I suggest getting pierced with glass. Glass can be autoclaved and therefore completely sterilized. They make lip retainers out of glass but I'm not positive about tongue retainers.

Get the plastic either before you pierce or after. I'm thinking you are bound to get infected...

Then why do it? It would be like eating somethingyou know is going to make you sick, but you go ahead and eat it anyway. I think anything other than a simple ear piercing are trashy/trampy.

dont do it then its like u know ur gonna get in trouble for skipping school but you do it anyway your bound to get another infection dont get neither
