Is hot water bad for your hair?

    I have a habit of taking hot showers, and i was told that hot water is really bad for your hair, is it true?
    and by hot i mean steaming hot.

    which cleans better
    cold water, or hot water?

    We use hair dryers that are pretty hot and after a time it may take a toll on our hair. I don't shampoo
    my hair in the shower because I like very hot showers too. If you like to get it all done at the same
    time possible you could shampoo first with less hot water?

    from the magazine i read our hair need a suitable temp. of water...
    not too hot and not too cool...
    and i think it does't course any prob with your hair...
    juz don't forget to put some olive oil because it's great for your hair..
