My suit is a light grey,and on casual friday,i plan to wear it with a black t shirt instead of a dress shirt.Does this sound good?Or should I only wear dress shirts with a suit?

No that sounds really bad. You could wear like a black t shirt and a blazer but pair it with some nice dark denim.

You can wear a t-shirt on casual friday. If everyone wears dress shirts in the office , and you come wearing t-shirt you have to see whats appropriate to wear.
