It's acidic so it will strip it. I don't think that's good for your hair. So I would say, No, Lime is not good for your hair.

Is lime good for your hair?

Using lime juice on your hair would be clarifying and strip all build up left by shampoos and conditioners. If you want to do that once a month that won't hurt your hair. I would follow it with an olive oil, mashed avocado or coconut oil treatment. My fave being coconut oil. It does not build up at all. Apply "hot" or warm. Use care and common sense so you do not burn your head. Apply to ends and work up to scalp. Cover with saran wrap and wait 20 minutes or 10minutes if crunched for time. Then shampoo, condition and style normally.
If you were thinking of using this regularly then I say, "NO. NO, NO!" It will dry and damage hair and burn scalp. The concentration of fruit acid is high in limes.
If you put it on your hair while sunning it will lighten like lemon or salt does. If you do this rinse well and shampoo and condition soon after.
I always know the latest on hair care. I have preferred natural haircare over commercial and have enjoyed better results, quite frankly.
Hope that answered your question and your hair is lovely!
