Nooo. Honestly, you get what you pay for - for the most part. If you pay for quality, you'll get it. The Colorstay makeup doesn't stay at all. It leaves a fairly desirable finish at first, but after an hour it wears off. If you're just looking for good drugstore makeup, try that new Covergirl Dream Mousse foundation. I use it and it's great.

Is Revlon's Colorstay Foundation comparable to department store foundation?

Yes actually the revlon colour stay foundation is supposed to be an exact dupe for mac's studio fix fluid foundation. I picked up some revlon when I heard this since I just ran out of my mac stuff and I must say that they are very similar. Though, I don't really l-o-v-e either of them. I went back to mac and picked up some studio sculpt (which I absolutely looovvvee) and I use that now
to answer you question, yes it is a pretty close dupe to mac, and yes I would recommend it

No! The others cost more for a reason. Although MAC is more for the runway and too heavy coverage unless you have lots of flaws.

The active ingredient in Revlon Colorstay is Titanium Dioxide, the same ingredient used in most department store foundations (such as Clinque, MAC, Smashbox) that claim to be long-lasting.
I first purchased Revlon Colorstay Foundation about a month ago. I wanted a foundation that was going to last me all day and control shine. I don't have the money to spend on department store makeup. If you gave some drugstore makeup a chance, you would find that there are a lot of great quality makeup products that make the prices of department store makeup seem ridiculous.
I've been using this foundation for about a month now, and I'm really liking it. I have a lot of acne scarring, and this foundation helps to cover the redness and some of the scarring, although I still use a lot of concealer (I happen to use Maybelline SuperStay Concealer..yes..a drugstore brand. And its exactly ten times better than the MAC concealers which i've used all).
If you buy the Combination/Oily formula, it really helps to matte your face and eliminate shine and control oil throughout the day. Its easy to apply, and after its set with powder, will not smear or budge. Its great.
So as a mostly drugstore buyer, yes. Revlon Colorstay is comparable to department store foundation. Open up your eyes and realize how much money you're wasting on products that appear and claim to be top quality. There is makeup out there that is just as good, and as I've discovered, even better than department store makeups. Just because its a cheaper price does not mean its a cheaper quality.
