Lip ring infected? Help please?

    I have had my lip pierced for a little over 2 weeks. Well the other day someone said that it looked a little infected and told me to use peroxide on it. So I used it for about 2 days. This morning I woke up and it was sore and hurting when the ring moved. Its not really red but there is a little bit of white stuff coming out of the hole inside my lip. Is it infected? If it is what do I do? Please only answer if you seriously know about lip rings!
    They pierced my lip with a horse shoe ring... If that makes a difference. I heard it was bad to use peroxide on a new piercing so I stopped using it and went back to the dial soap, salt walter, and mouth wash.

    Do not use peroxide on a piercing. It is much too harsh and drying, which would explain why your piercing is sore & painful now. Puss (the white stuff) is part of the healing; as long as it doesn't change colors, it's nothing to worry about.

    Well when that happend to me when i had my lip piercing
    I kept the piercing in
    when i pulled on the stud
    some more white stuff would come out
    I would put my saliva on a q-tip and twirl it around the stud
    to make all the white stuff go away
    but just keep cleaning it maybe 5 times a day
    and it will soon heal in about a week or more
    depends on how well u are taking care of it
    its totally normal & yes it is infected
    but not too serious
    just do what i said before & keep using the peroxide too when you clean it

    i just peirced my lip two days ago and it got a little puss in it and i used dial antibactirial soap and salt water and that worked really well for me. and antibacterial spray dosent hurt either.

    going to a doctor helps.get it looked at before it becomes bad.My cousin had a lip ring and it got infected bad enough where he had to start taking vicodin for the pain.This is common with newly pierced lips so don't worry but take any procedures to ensure that it is not infected.
