Well I dont have to have parental consent anymore to get piercing so I got my tongue done. My parents were totally against it there against anything but ear piercings. So I took it out because I told them and they said I couldnt come home from college for break if I had it in but then got it repierced when I got back and this time I'm just not going to tell them and try and get away with it.

Anyways, yea most adults dont agree with the idea of tongue rings. Some say it's trashy and there is the whole sexual favors things, but the truth is some guys hate it and some love it. I didnt get it because I'm a ***** or anything like that I got it because I wanted it and I thought it looked cute and I love it.

It doesnt really hurt to get it done the clamp they use before your piercing actually hurt more than the actual piercing the piercing just feels like a pinch and your done. Although, the second time you get it done it hurts so much worse especially if it wasnt that long after your tongue closed up because it can close up in a few hours or less. The days that follow hurt more with all the swelling, it's a little hard to talk, you have to eat a lot of cold food and or soft food for a few days at least. Plus for the first ten days approx. you have to have this long barbell in for swelling purposes which is so annoying. Also for the first 2 you need to use Biotene mouth wash after everything you eat and drink except water which is annoying. It's not really that hard to keep clean and from infection as long as you take good care of it and have good hygiene.

So he could be saying no for sexual purposes or because people dont really like the idea of them especially older folks and parents and have these bad thoughts about them. Or he just has his own reasons.

Tongue rings damage the teeth as well.

Tongue rings are in the most dirtest part of your body. It's likely that you could get an infection. Tongue rings also damage your teeth and cause gum recession. And tongue rings are generally perceived as being used to increase sexual pleasure when you give a guy oral sex...

All reasons for your father not to allow you

  7. I don't know your dad, but I am pretty certain he has heard all sorts of stories from his friends and co workers about tongue piercing and probably has decided that his daughter is not going to get one. I guess you are underage and need parental permission to get it done, so you can keep pestering him and make him mad, or you can accept his decision and wait until you are old enough to have it pierced without his consent. Chances are in a few years you really won't want one so badly.

Because of what tongue piercings are for.

I won't go into detail, but tongue piercings are definitely way worse than belly button piercings.

They're basically a not-so-discrete way of admitting that you are a whore. (maybe not you personally, but in general)

Plus they're way more dangerous than belly button piercings.

Getting your tongue pierced can damage your taste buds. Would you risk not being able to taste for something thats probably not going to be permanent? When you're an old lady you're probably not going to sit around with a tongue ring in. & i'm not trying to be mean its just my opinon.

  10. your dad is the best in your life did you know they take a large piece of your tong through a tub like needle that's only if you are going to the right people who are experience. trust me is not worth it then your breath ends up stinking. and it take months before it slightly heals but you can never take it out because it will close right away with scarring on your tong and infection grouse out. no don't you'll be sorry if you do.
