your hair goes thru changes thru out many different stages of our lives. especially puberty and menopause. so yes these changes are normal. And whether or not your hair will ever be the same is unknown. only time will tell you that. there really isnt any other way of lightening your hair without bleaching or coloring. unless you try the old mixture of lemon juice and water in the summer. No there is not a shampoo that takes out natural color. Artificial hair color yes. Whatever color your hair is it sounds beautiful and I see many people with dark hair dying to be strawberry blonde.

Sometimes your hair color does change as your hormones are "raging" and everything is changing in your body with puberty. For example, when I was a baby my hair was so blonde it was white. As I grew, it got darker but stayed a dirty blonde color for about ten years until I hit puberty. Now, my hair is naturally almost black, the darkest natural color of any of my immediate family members. It's unlikely that it will change back after puberty -- that's like asking if you'll stop growing hair on your legs after puberty ;) the changes that occur during this time are permanent. The only way to make your hair "more blonde" would be to dye or bleach it, but it sounds to me like you're irritated with the brassiness of your hair. What you can do is buy purple shampoo from Sally Beauty Supply (or any salon beauty supply) and use it 2-3 times a week. It has purple dye in it, and since purple and orange are opposites on the color spectrum, the purple cancels out the orange making your hair more blonde. A lot of people with very light bleached hair use this because the bleach often strips the hair leaving it bright orange. To just make your hair shinier and bolder, you can try color-sensitive shampoos and conditioners such as John Freida's line of Brilliant Brunette, Radiant Red, and Sheer Blonde. That will just enhance the colors in your hair without depositing.
