Navel Piercing, Would it heal fast enough?

i had nipples done last week..takes about 6 weeks they say..i believe its the same universally because I asked about further down...and they said the same...6 weeks

Everyone is different- some people it can take up to a year to heal, others 6 weeks. The recommended time to leave it in by is around 6 weeks - 2 months. Some people still have to leave it in after 3 months to avoid infection or healing. I would advise to go into a local piercing shop and ask, they would be able to give you a good guess on how long it would take.

Normally navel piercings take about 4 to 6 months to heal depending on the individual, but I have heard of much longer due to infections.. Also, keep in mind that if you have to go to medical while your piercing still fresh, you will not be able to remove it, or hide it too easy and all you going to do is damage the area in the case you try to take it off to avoid getting it seeing by a doctor.
I know the regs in the USMC are a lot stricter then in the other services, if i was you, I would be more patient and wait until you are out, or consider the fact that you may not need to do it in the first place especially if it may affect your military career.
