i just got revlon colorstay foundation in toasted color in normal/dry skin (i have sensitive skin and i have acne scars and i am indian and i have medium brown skin like rihanna or freida pinto) so when i put it on i look like i put cooking oil on my face..my skin looks darker and extremely greasy and really gross..should i get a lighter color and get it in the combination/oily skin or should i choose another foundation..if so then which foundation.

I would recommend using a foundation that has an oil-free formula. It won't have the same oily effect on your skin. Also, usually, foundations with a SPF quality will have some oilyness to it.
If you want to reduce the amount of oil on your skin, you can apply a loose or translucent powder over your foundation to absorb the oil.
You shouldn't get a lighter color because getting a lighter color makes it more obvious that you have foundation on and it will probably look very awkward with the rest of your skin. The best thing you can do is to apply a little bit on the inside of your wrist and match the foundation to that.
I would definitely recommend L'Oreal's True Match liquid foundation line. They have a lot of different shades to match your exact one with an oil-free formula.
Good luck. <3
