For spring break i am going to florida, at my house we have a pool so i know that i burn easily and very badly since i am so light skinned. I would really like to get a tan, but i dont want to get burned. What is the easiest way to tan without getting burned? Should i go to a tanning bed before i go to florida?

oh and i know that i should wear sun screen lol .....but how much? so i can be tan without the burn??

You really need to get a little tan before going to FL, or you will burn. If you can afford tanning, ask the people who work there, You may just go five minutes first day skip a day and if you aren't red go ten minutes, wait three days and see how it is, then you will know more. Don't worry about wasting money, it is better than being burned.

Use 15 to 30 SPF And only stay out for about 10 to 15 min. you can increase the time you stay out as your tan develops.

In order to achieve the full amount of protection listed on the bottle you need to use at least 1oz (or about the size of a golf ball) if you are wearing a bikini. If you do not use enough you can cut the effectiveness by up to 50%.

Most likely, you can't tan, some skin types just don't. All the constant burning is just going to destroy your skin. A tanning booth is no different from the sun, if you burn in the sun you will burn worse in a bed. Just cover up with a high SPF and find yourself a good self tanner if you want color.

I tan at a salon.... Just start off at a few minutes... then gradually work your way up to 20 mins. start at 4, if you get a little pink then, go 4 for every session until you are no longer pink, then go up to 6 or 8... only go up after you no longer get pink when you are through.. That way, you'll be at your full 'tanness' and then when you are on vacation, you'll be at your full tan, but still use sunscreen, like normal when on vacation....

if this doesn't make sense, feel free to email me
