Tattoo On My Abdomen. Pain level?

    I really want to get a tattoo documenting one of the hardest trials of my life on my lower abdomen as a permanent reminder that I can come through anything if I just have faith. (4 words, and a dove)

    The thing is, I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle the pain. I mean I've got 8 piercings, but I don't think that can compare to the pain of a tattoo.

    My tattoo wouldn't be very big, probably only 2x3 inches nothing huge, but still. I know after it's all said and done the pain will be worth it, but it'll be really helpful if somebody with a tattoo on their lower abdomen could tell me on a scale of 1-10 how bad it hurt, and what they would compare the pain to.

    I have 2 anchors tattooed in that same spot and honestly, it hurt. But it definitely was not the worst spot in terms of pain to get a tattoo.
    While i was getting them done i just kept my mind focused on other things and that really helped. After it was done it was so worth it and im so happy that i got them done.
    If you do go and get it done and your there for about an hour and you need a break because it hurts just let your artist know and he'll be fine with it. You could even start it one day and go back another day and finish it if you think that it hurts to much.
    But my honest advice is to just go for it. It will be worth it and you'll be so happy that you went through with it once its all finished.
