I went on Saturday to get my hair cut. When I entered the salon, my stylist was close by and I gave her a little wave. She didn't notice. Another stylist immediately seized the sign in chart and said, "Are you waiting for Amanda?" I said yes and she blasts, "Well, with the way you just totally ignored you waving at her, I'm surprised." Mind you, there were other clients in the salon - everyone heard her say that. I was so embarrassed. All I could do was smile and laugh because I had no idea what to say in return. I didn't do anything to warrant rudeness, but I honestly think she was trying to be funny. My husband goes to the same salon and when I told him about it, he said she is obnoxious and tries to steal clients from other stylists. This isn't the first time she's been weird...another time I went and she goes, "I love your hair color - is it natural? Let me see your roots!" and she came right over and started touching my hair and looking at it. I just find her bizarre.
Is there something I could have said to put her in her place? I look at it like, I'm a guest there - and felt what she said was completely out of line.
