i have the same problem with skin stuff because i have really sensitive skin.. and im 16 and JUST started getting acne.. like clean and clear worked for awhile but i now used cetaphil gentle skin cleanser to wash my face and i used clindamysen (sorry idk the spelling but ask ur doctor to get it and they'll prescribe it for u) and then i use clean and clear moisturizer.. the one in the white container with a purple pump. hope it works for you! and if it doesn't ask to go see a dermatologist and maybe they can prescribe some more extreme medication. good luck, acne sucks

i know you said no proactiv, but it reaaaaally does work, most people give it bad reviews because they dont stick to it, you have to use it EVERYDAY and it works, and the results are awesome

I have the SAME results with Proactiv.

I had tried Neutrogena and it did not work for me either.

Try Clinique Acne Solutions. It is a little expensive but it has been the best. It has 3 steps just like proactive but it is so much more for sensitive skin.

They also have spot treatment creme just like Proactiv and it does not burn either.

However, I use citaphil too. It does not seem to help with getting rid of acne, but it does help keep your skin clean. It is also VERY gentle.

    Good luck!

I've tried many products, and the only one that has worked efficiently is Olay Deep Cleansing Face Wash with Witch Hazel. It'll make your skin dry, and some people don't like that, but for me, the oils are the primary reason why I get acne in the first place. Besides, the oil would return after an hour anyways, so it really doesn't matter much. You either get a pizzaface or temporary dry skin, and I prefer dry skin.
