After cleansing my face, I have to apply my moisturizer immediately or else my face gets so dry and crackly to the point where it hurts. Is there any way I can treat that? Home remedies or splurging on some special cream, it doesn't matter for me.
I use 2 cleansers. One by cetaphil and one by neutrogena, the cetaphil one is for daily cleansing and the neutrogena one is for nightly use, as nothing can stop your skin from absorbing products you put on it at night. It's the same concept with both of them.

Have you ever used vaseline? I know it sounds disgusting to put on your face, but if you put it on right before you go to sleep (and use an old pillow case) you won't notice it. For extra moisture, pat your face with a wet washcloth right before applying the vaseline so the water gets "locked" in. Also, Moisturel makes great products for very dry sensitive skin.

try a different moisturizer because it might be too strong for your sensitive dry skin and make it even worse since the dryness isnt going away after apply moisturizer. try putting a really really hot towel on your face and let it exfoliate for 5 mins. then wash it and put on moisturizer. thats what they do to you when u go have facials.

i get like dry patches on my forehead. i put a good amount of cetaphil (for extremely dry, sensitive skin) all over my face right after i get out of the shower, that way my pores are still open and the moisture actually gets locked in. then, put some more on spots where its the worst like 15-25 minutes later. do this everyday.

It could be the cleanser you're using, seeing as how some can be very drying. It may help to get a cream cleanser for dry skin that also won't cause breakouts.
