i already have an amazing foundation (from the drugstore) im looking for something not too expensive.Something available in Canada (available at shoppers, walmart, zellers...etc.) I know prices very but tell me how much it cost you.

What is the best setting powder, translucent powder or finishing powder you have used?

I use the NYC translucent pressed powder and I use that to set my makeup. It works wonderfully. Don't underestimate its abilities, even tho it doesnt cost a lot.

Bare Minerals..
Other brands over the counter won't stay long in the face.

Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil (or Hydrating Mineral Veil if you have dry skin) works very well to 'set' makeup.
I am currently using Prescriptives Magic Powder but this line has been pulled from stores and is only available online. It is the best powder I have used and I certainly will continue to use it but I don't know availability in Canada.
The thing with these type of powders is that they last forever. When you purchase a higher-end powder it may cost a bit more than drug store but it will be much finer-milled and look much more natural. I prefer loose to compact because you get a more natural, perfect finish.Posted 2 years ago # -
Maybelline Dream matte pressed powder is really good it Never Never
cakey it goes super smooth on my skin it takes all shininess on my skin
