I'm planning on getting my first tattoo next week on my shoulder, its not going to be big but my question is: about 3 weeks later I will be going to some hot springs with some friends, should it be ok if I mainly keep it out of the water?
I'm getting a profile of a butterfly and then instead of the veins in normal wings, I will have japenese cherry blossoms that fade from red to orange and then hidden in the design 9/13/08 which is my anniversary.

Typically, a tattoo takes around 5 days to heal.
Later is not abnormal.
Most are completely healed by the time 10 days has passed.
You should be fine. However, if you have a known skin condition, such as psoriasis or eczema.
If so, then I would suggest waiting until the period of time that your breakouts are less severe.
And after such, if it seems to burn more than it should after 3 days, using a topical antibiotic creme may help heal faster.Posted 2 years ago # -
Of course, you'll be fine.
