Your opinion on tomboy short-haired flat-chested girls?

    What's your opinion on tomboy short-haired, flat-chested girls? Does anyone know why they dress this way?

    I don't really like their sense of style because I'm always mistaking them for short boys from the back. And I'm not one who likes to be confused on whether or not someone is dude or a chick.

    I've seen lots of international Chinese people do this at my college. They have a boy haircut, they don't wear girly clothes (nothing to emphasize their feminine aspects) or makeup, and they're flat-chested and not curvy at all. Some of them have cute faces, so I'm always wondering if it's a cute boy or a tomboyish girl. I'm not trying to be racist or anything. I'm just really curious.

    When I went back to China last summer, I saw a poster with a singer who was just like that too. Is it the "in thing" now?
    This is assuming I'm looking at them from a distance, ie I'm not talking to them or anything. (Otherwise, their facial structure or Adam's apple would give it away)

    Its not their fault their flat chested and un-curvy. I'm not either, and no I don't dress like a tomboy, quite the opposite, but maybe they just feel like if they wear the clothes the curvy girls wear, it wont look as good on them. When I don't wear a more filled out bra, i definitely look out of place in tight shirts and stuff, so I can see why they would want to wear baggier clothes.

    And, maybe they like the way the short hair makes them look. Who knows? As long as their comfortable in their skin it doesnt really matter.

    I haven'tt come across this before! It's not really their fault if they have a boyish body shape, but maybe they are insecure because of this so don't want to wear tight clothes or anything. Some girls are just not into hair and make-up that much, but I think some girls actually want to be boys. It's probably a fashion in China to have short hair. (:♥

    I'm a tomboy w/ shoulder length hair.
    I think the reason why we do this is cause we don't wanna look like other people.
    Some of us try to get the emo look some the goth look.
    And very few of us (Like me) are trying to get the Scene look. To get the scene look you need to get a Paris Hilton Haircut though so that explains A LOT =p
